The Tarrant County Vietnam Memorial Foundation (TCVMF) has launched a raffle of a Vietnam-era M14 (modified to semi-automatic only) with Vietnam-era ART II scope.

“This ‘safe queen’ rifle’s in pristine, like-new condition,” notes TCVMF Treasurer Damon Harvey. “It appears to have never been issued.”

Efforts by the Tarrant County Vietnam Memorial Foundation’s (TCVMF) to honor Vietnam War veterans from North Texas continue moving forward.

The Fort Worth City Council has pledged money from the Future Community Partnerships Fund to assist with creation of a Tarrant County Vietnam Memorial on Camp Bowie Blvd. The Council voted Tuesday to match up to $200,000 of the memorial’s cost.
